Happy Eid.

My mom woke me up at 7:30 am today, so that I could make my house look good. It took me almost 3 hours because of how lazy I am (I sometimes wonder how would my future husband make an adjustment and bear both, my laziness and weirdness. He would probably think of separation the next day of our marriage, lol).
So, I got done with being ‘sughar’ (A good controller of the household) and started getting ready around twelve noon. After all Eid is just about getting all dolled up and taking endless selfies, out of which only three turn out to be attractive. Latterly, I had Biryani in lunch, which surely is our national food item to be cooked on every Eid, and now the boredom is getting on my nerves; no worries, for this is not unusual.
It’s kind of crazy that I feel like nothing changes even on Eid, except for your appearance. I mean I see all the washed out faces of the relatives welcoming when I visit them, just to get ‘Eidee’ (money we get from our elders on this occasion), which is the best part of this festival. Perhaps, something needs to be done to get everything going good, but I guess that would be quite a long process. *sigh*
Eid Mubarak!
